Sisto, Elena, and Pietro Tessari represent the 4th generation of the Tessari family at La Cappuccina winery in Costalunga di Monteforte d’Alpone, Veneto, Italy, within the Soave wine area. The estate, named after an ancient chapel, has practiced organic farming since 1985 and incorporates biodynamic methods, making them pioneers in organic winemaking in Italy. They produce mainly white wines from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes, estate-bottled from about 100 acres. Sisto is the agronomist and export market representative, Pietro is the winemaker, and Elena, a sommelier with a degree in Economics and Business, handles marketing and public relations. The winery is associated with FIVI and the Associazione Ville Venete.
